I am a Visiting Assistant Professor in the Department of Politics & International Affairs at Wake Forest University.
I study American politics and am primarily interested in voter and legislator behavior. In my work, I leverage a range of methodological tools to understand voter decision-making, donation behavior, legislator voting decisions, and re-election-seeking behavior.
Prior to my current position, I was a Congressional Fellow with the American Political Science Association, where I worked in a Member’s DC office. Before that, I was a Visiting Assistant Professor at Oberlin College, where I taught American politics courses with a focus on American political institutions. I defended my dissertation, “Essays on Elections and Responsiveness in the United States,” at Princeton University in September 2022, and graduated with my Ph.D. in November 2022. Additionally, I hold an M.A. in Politics from Princeton University (June 2017) and a B.A. in Political Science, Economics, and Mathematics with general honors and political science departmental honors from the University of Miami (May 2015).
